 After the rescue boats arrived, Iris and Jason, along with every other survivor rescued from the island, were taken to SC Memorial. It was only after he saw Iris fall asleep from the medication that Jason allowed himself to be taken away by doctors. They took x-rays to make sure the cut hadn't gone too deep and damaged anything more than just his skin. Satisfied his stitches were well done and all he needed was rest, the doctors gave Jason a bed and knocked him out for the evening. Once he woke up, they re-wrapped his bandages and released Jason. 

He's been awake for about an hour now, waiting outside Iris' room as the doctors do their final checks before they're willing to release her. He's nervous, drumming his fingers against the frame of the hospital door. He just wants Iris to walk out of that room, cast on her foot, and pain free. He just wants to get her home, because she needs to be home.

"For science?" Iris laughs, leaning towards him again. "All right. Kiss me."

"Science, yup," he nods. Jason stays in his seat as she tells him to kiss him, smiling like a jerk. He stays that way for several minutes before he's up on his feet and crossing to the other side of the table and tugging Iris up to her feet. Pressing her against the door of the roof, he kisses her hard.

She's in the midst of tapping her foot irritably when he's suddenly there. And then her back is up against the door and his lips are on hers and she's losing herself in him all over again. She kisses him back eagerly, hands slipping into his hair to hold him close.

In one quick movement, he lifts her up against the wall, his arms wrapped sturdily around her waist. He kisses her like he's wanted to since he got back from his errands. He wants to show her what he can't express with words yet.

Iris gasps against his lips, legs hooking around his hips to take some of her weight off his arms. Her fingers slip beneath the collar of his shirt, roaming over his shoulders as a tiny part of her wonders what brought all this one. This doesn't feel like their usual kisses. There's something more to it. Something that makes her heartbeat pick up and her lungs feel like they can't get enough air.

He moans softly into her kiss, his hand wandering up her thigh. It's all he can do to keep his head clear and aware of where they are. Leaning in to nip lightly at her neck, his voice is low. "I'm sorry, I may have failed a bit there."

She chuckles breathlessly, tilting her head to give him better access to the sensitive spots on her neck. "Just a little... I can't complain though, really."

His heart's beating a little quickly right now and Jason grins, shaking his head at himself. "Good. I don't want you to ever complain."

She's strangely comfortable being held up by him right now, though looking down on anyone is a strange feeling for Iris. "Just keep being yourself then," she grins back, kissing his nose. "I will never be able to complain again in my life."

He smiles at that, leaning in to kiss her sweetly. "I'll do my best for you." He means it too. All Jason wants to to do the best for Iris. She deserves that and more.

"Then I promise I'll do my best in return," she hums happily, cupping his face gently as she runs her thumbs over his cheeks.

"You're my favourite," he grins, leaning into her touch. "Do you want to hang out here or go back to your place?"

Iris blushes, turning her head to hide it. "You're my favourite," she laughs. "I don't know... This is beautiful and I kind of don't ever want to leave it. But the apartment has a bed. A warm, comfy bed."

Jason perks up when Iris mentions her bed and makes the decision for them. He opens the rooftop door, still carrying her, and quickly heads back down to her apartment.

She laughs at his sudden eagerness to get back to the apartment. "You're going to have to get my crutches at some point, you know," she points out, grinning as she lets them in, still in his arms.

"At some point," he agrees, carrying her into the apartment and bumping the door closed behind them. "That point isn't now though." He carries her into the bedroom, dropping her playfully onto the bed.

Iris is grinning like a fool now, bouncing slightly with a laugh as he drops her. "No, I suppose it isn't," she agrees, reaching for his hands to tug him forward. "We have much better uses for our time right now, yes?"

He leans over her, grinning from ear to ear. "You won't need to walk for awhile anyway."

A shocked giggle slips out at that. "Oh? I think I'm okay with that," she chuckles, tugging him down for a kiss.

He smiles into her kiss, cupping her face with his hands. Honestly, Jason feels young and happy with Iris around. He can goof around with her and make her smile, something he really loves. "Good, because we're going to take such a great nap."

Iris laughs loudly at that, shaking her head. "It's too late for a nap, you goose! At this point it would just be bedtime."

"Oh, here I was thinking we both might need a power nap because we'll be up all night."

Iris covers her mouth with a hand, trying to hide the fact that she's about to crack up. "You're a bad person. Did you know that? Because you are. Bad, bad, bad," she scolds, shaking her head.

[jasonwright]

"You didn't like that one?" He grins, sticking his tongue out at her. "I'll do better next time, promise."

"I'm holding you to that. And just holding you in general," she chuckles, reaching up and tugging him down with her. "Now be good, and give me a kiss."
