 After the rescue boats arrived, Iris and Jason, along with every other survivor rescued from the island, were taken to SC Memorial. It was only after he saw Iris fall asleep from the medication that Jason allowed himself to be taken away by doctors. They took x-rays to make sure the cut hadn't gone too deep and damaged anything more than just his skin. Satisfied his stitches were well done and all he needed was rest, the doctors gave Jason a bed and knocked him out for the evening. Once he woke up, they re-wrapped his bandages and released Jason. 

He's been awake for about an hour now, waiting outside Iris' room as the doctors do their final checks before they're willing to release her. He's nervous, drumming his fingers against the frame of the hospital door. He just wants Iris to walk out of that room, cast on her foot, and pain free. He just wants to get her home, because she needs to be home.

"So demanding," she drawls, glad the subject has lapsed as she rolls onto the bed next to him, dragging the blankets over them and cuddling up against him.

"Just one day out of the week." He lays back on the bed, opening an arm for her to curl up on his and wraps his arm around her waist. "I kind of like you, you know."

She kind of hates him a little right now, in a loving way. "Mmmm... I kind of like you too," she chuckles.

He smiles to himself and kisses the top of her head. "I'm glad, or that'd make all this a bit awkward."

Laughing, she lowers her voice to a stage whisper. "Shhh... I'm actually just using you for your body."

[jasonwright]

"Well that's good because my personality sucks," he grins.

[littleredsiren]

"I wouldn't know," she teases, resting her chin on his chest. "I've been too focused on how nice your body is to care."

[jasonwright]

"I'm okay with that, actually. As long as you're looking at me."

[littleredsiren]

"So vain!" she scolds, reaching up to tweak his nose playfully.

[jasonwright]

He laughs and pushes her hand away. "If you're looking at me, then I have your attention which I like."

[littleredsiren]

"Still vain!" she laughs, poking his side instead. "But I'm glad you like my attention, because you have it. All of the time."

[jasonwright]

He squirms away from her. "Good. I need all of your attention all the time."

[littleredsiren]

Iris bats her lashes at him, reaching out and clinging to his waist so he can't squirm away further. "Do I have your attention?"

He smiles, looking at her like she's the only person in the world. "You have every bit of my attention."

[littleredsiren]

"Good. Because I am also vain," she smiles, leaning up and pressing a soft kiss against his lips.

[jasonwright]

He kisses her back, enjoying the softness of her lips. "I'm very very okay with that."

[littleredsiren]

Iris stretches out against him, nuzzling his shoulder. "Clearly we need to get stranded on a desert island more often."

"You think the island's responsible for all this?"

[littleredsiren]

"I assumed the ridiculous amount of snuggles was the islands doing, yes," she answers, tilting her head curiously.

[jasonwright]

"Hmm...I think that would've happened without the island though."

[littleredsiren]

She blushes at that, ducking her head. "Really?"

[jasonwright]

"Yeah." Jason rolls over onto his side and props himself up on an elbow. "I know we only just started dating on the cruise but...it wouldn't have taken long before we started doing all this," he grins. "Island or not."

[littleredsiren]

Her face is burning, despite everything, and she carefully rolls away, pretending to look for something in the nightstand. "I, ah... Really. That's, ummm... Good to know!" she stammers out, grinning but embarrassed.

Iris can't really hide her embarrassment from Jason anymore. Not that she was ever able to really hide it from him before. He smiles at her back. "You don't think so?"

"No!" she squeaks, still digging through the drawer. "I just... Its weird hearing you say it. Like you were planning on it. I don't know!"
