"It was the way you helped Jason," he explains, pointing across the table to his brother. "He wasn't going to talk to me. He was pissed. And if he's anything like he was as a kid, when he's pissed, not much can get him back to calm, patient Jason. But you did," John grins.

Jason tilts his head a bit in agreement because, yeah, that's true. He used to get in trouble for his anger before he learned to control it. And Iris helped a lot that day. She mediated between the boys, but also calmed Jason down. "We were just friends then," he argues. "She's a very caring person with her friends."
