The slight chill of the air contrasts with the burning heat of their bodies and she barely manages to contain a noise of protest when he moves off of her. But then her nightgown is gone and he's covering her with his body again and kissing her like there's no tomorrow and she's happy again. More than happy. She's never felt anything like this and part of her wants to sob with the rightness of it all. Iris fists her hands in his hair, deepening the kiss until her lips tingle with it and she feels like she's drowning in him.
