Iris is probably a lot more impatient with the doctors than she should be, desperately wanting to get out to Jason and to take him home. Finally, after way too many questions and a prescription for pain meds, she hobbles out of the hospital room on her crutches. She almost smacks right into him, in fact, since he's been hovering around the doors the entire time.

"Okay! I'm set to go. Fancy cast on my foot, crutches and pain meds in hand... Let's go home."

He beams at Iris like a damn puppy because even though it's only been maybe an hour, this is the first time they've been separated since the harpy attack and he's honestly glad to see her again. Taking her bag from the nurse, he slings it over his shoulder and kisses her cheek.

"Thank God. I'm so ready to be back at your place."

She ducks her head happily, wishing she didn't have to use crutches so she could hold his hand.

"Come on, I got a nurse to call us a cab. I don't know about you, but I'm too tired to walk home on crutches right now," she chuckles, leading them out to where its waiting and climbing in.

"Good call. If I'm not on my feet for the next twelve hours, I'll be way too happy." Following her into the cab, Jason gives the driver the name of Iris' complex. It's not a long drive before the man pulls up to her apartment, waving off the fee by saying it's the least he could do after everything they'd been through. Still, Jason leaves him a tip and helps Iris out of the car.

"Your place have an elevator or just stairs?"

"An elevator, thank god. I'd be booking a ground level hotel room or something if we didn't have one."

She hobbles her way into the building and onto the elevator, using the privacy and moment of calm to rest her head on his shoulder. Finally reaching her apartment, she hauls out her keys and lets them in, a heavy sigh of happiness slipping out.

"I don't know about you, but I'm ready to spend the next week in bed. Just... never moving again."

"That's the best thing you've ever said to me," he grins, following her inside. He drops her bag to the floor.

"Oh shit. I need to get Alfredo. Get comfortable and I'll be back before you know it, I promise."

Iris nods, though she's incredibly reluctant to let him go so soon. She knows how important Alfredo is, and how worried he must be about Jason right now. It's only a minute after he leaves that she's on her feet again though, working her way through the kitchen and putting together a snack for them both before she sets out water and dog food for Alfredo.

After saying goodbye, Jason rushes off back to the community garden where Alfredo has stayed at the cabin. Anthony had agreed to take care of the dog, and Jason's happy to see that he kept his word. He opens the door and Alfredo comes bounding out, nearly knocking Jason to the ground.

It's less than ten minutes before Jason knocks on Iris' door. And when she answers, he has Alfredo bundled up in his arms, smiles across both of their faces.

"Someone's missed you."

Iris smiles brightly when she opens the door, ridiculously glad to see them both. "I missed him too!" she coos happily, scratching at the dog's ears before moving out of the way so they can both come in. "I'm pretty sure Eric missed him too. The landlady dropped him off while you were out. I think he's probably in the kitchen, eating. Speaking of, I made you a sandwich and laid some food out for Alfredo as well."

She's babbling a little but she's just so glad to be home and for Jason to be here with her...

It's a bit overwhelming right now. Alfredo's with him, Eric is back, Iris is alive and healthy, they're in her comfortable apartment, and now she's made sure to feed Alfredo and Jason both.

Jason sets Alfredo down who immediately rushes to the food and water like he was the one stuck on an island for five days, and Jason strides over to Iris. He cups his hands around her face and kisses her like he's wanted to kiss her since the boat exploded.

Iris sighs into his lips, kissing him back with just as much fervour. Everything has felt so wrong these last few days and suddenly... everything feels like it's fallen back into place and she's where she belongs. She's home, and that doesn't just mean her apartment. She slips her arms around his neck, pressing against him with her entire body. All she wants is to touch him right now, to know they're home and they're safe and they're together.

When she kisses him back, Jason feels desperate. There's a lot he'd like to say, to tell her how he feels, but he's not even sure where he'd begin, so Jason kisses her. He slips an arm around her waist and pulls her close, breaking their kiss only to press his forehead against hers.

"Did you fix yourself something to eat?"

She nods, lips tingling pleasantly from the kiss. "I got a sandwich for myself too. I couldn't wait to eat though, sorry." Iris flushes, a little embarrassed over her lack of self control. "It was good, at least. If that helps. You should eat yours though, then we can go curl up in my bed?"

"I don't blame you, really," he smiles. Jason steals a quick kiss before breaking away from Iris to eat his sandwich. And he practically inhales the thing, his hunger kicking in after starting to get used to such little food. Once he's finished, he gets up from the table and wraps an arm around Iris' waist to help her into the bedroom.

"Come on, get ready for bed and I'll go clean up a bit."

She can't help but giggle at how quickly he eats, but then he's helping her into the room. "You know you don't have to clean up, silly. You've got to be as exhausted as I am," she points out, tugging one of her nightgowns out of the closet. "Just come to bed with me."

Iris tugs off her shirt, not really caring that he's still in the room any more. He's already seen her shirtless on the island, anyway. Pulling the nightgown into place, she lets it settle before sitting at the edge of the bed to haul off her shorts. Which... do not want to cooperate. "Um... I need help," she blushes, looking up at him pleadingly. The shorts are caught on the edge of her cast and she is at a horrible angle to work them free.

She's got a point and Jason gives into her wishes, following her to the edge of the bed. Kneeling down, he works on freeing her shorts from the cast.

"This thing's going to take some getting used to." It takes a bit of finagling before the shorts come free and he slips them off her legs. "Anything else while I'm here?" he grins up at her.

She giggles, nudging him with her healthy foot. "Should I order you to give me a foot rub?" she teases, scooching back on the bed. "No, nothing else. Just get ready and come to bed, silly."

"We'll have to start up your practices again sometime soon." Jason stands back up and hauls off his shirt and jeans, climbing into the bed. He leans over Iris, kissing along her cheek.

"I am way too happy to be back in your bed."

Iris shivers happily at his kisses, grinning up at him. "I'd say we could try now, but I'd just want to tell you to do things I'm pretty sure you want to do anyway," she laughs, turning her head and catching his lips for a quick kiss.

"I'm pretty sure you're right." He presses a kiss under her jaw. "What would you tell me to do then?"

Iris hums thoughtfully, trying not to groan at his kisses. "Probably to kiss me, first, but it seems you're already doing that. Well done," she teases. "You're an overachiever."

"That's probably the first time I've been called that," he chuckles, nuzzling her neck. Jason honestly can't stop touching her right now.

She squirms, trying not to giggle at the feeling of his beard tickling her neck. "Well, you can add that to your list of achievements then. 'Overachiever in siren girlfriend's opinion'," she laughs, playing with the ends of his hair.

The feeling of her hands in his hair makes Jason smile even brighter. "I'll add that to my resume. Though I'm not really sure what kind of job is looking for that kind of recommendation." He presses a kiss to her neck, sighing softly.

"The job of boyfriend to a siren? I'd hire you," Iris teases, kissing his temple as her fingers drift down his back.
