After the rescue boats arrived, Iris and Jason, along with every other survivor rescued from the island, were taken to SC Memorial. It was only after he saw Iris fall asleep from the medication that Jason allowed himself to be taken away by doctors. They took x-rays to make sure the cut hadn't gone too deep and damaged anything more than just his skin. Satisfied his stitches were well done and all he needed was rest, the doctors gave Jason a bed and knocked him out for the evening. Once he woke up, they re-wrapped his bandages and released Jason.

He's been awake for about an hour now, waiting outside Iris' room as the doctors do their final checks before they're willing to release her. He's nervous, drumming his fingers against the frame of the hospital door. He just wants Iris to walk out of that room, cast on her foot, and pain free. He just wants to get her home, because she needs to be home.

His kisses are addictive and she finds herself moaning softly against his lips. Reaching up, she tangles her fingers into his hair again, holding him close as she nips gently at his bottom lip.

Jason just wants to touch her again, his hands sliding up and down her sides firmly. He deepens their kiss with a hungry moan, pressing himself against her.

Iris shudders at the slight roughness of his hands brushing over her sides. Suddenly desperate for more of him, she reaches down, carefully undoing his pants and slipping a hand inside, palming him through his boxers.

He sighs happily, pressing into her hand as he tucks his face into the crook of her neck. Everything about being with Iris feels right, especially when he remembers what she said earlier. He slides a hand down over her thigh, pulling her closer.

She strokes him through the fabric, nuzzling his hair. All she wants right now is to be close to him, making him happy and showing him just how much she cares for him. After everything he's done for her, and how patient he is with her, he deserves that much.

He can't think when Iris touches him like this. All he can do is act, so he leans up to catch her lips, kissing her hard as he rolls, pulling Iris on top of him. He gives her a crooked grin, sliding his hands up her thighs to rest on her hips.

She squeaks against his lips as they roll, taken off guard by the sudden movement. Sitting up, she quirks an eyebrow at him with a smile before she leans down and kisses him again. He's silly, and always surprising her, but that's one of the best things about him.

He smiles into her lips, overcome with how happy Iris makes him. It's weird how different he feels when he's around her, but he feels like himself. Like he's finally able to let his guard completely down and be himself around her. Jason wraps an arm around her waist, hugging her to his chest while he threads the other through her hair and he thinks to himself how much he loves her hair.

Iris could practically purr she's so content right now. The feeling of his hand in her hair is ridiculously soothing even as his kisses make her lips tingle and all she wants is to lay here with him forever.

His brain is occupied with how soft and wonderful she is, brushing her hair back over her shoulder as they kiss. "I love your hair," he mutters without a second thought.

Iris sits up at that, hair falling back over her shoulder with the movement. Her eyes are wide with surprise. "Really?" she asks, bracing herself against his chest.

He looks a little surprised when she sits up and only now realizes he must have said that out loud which makes Jason blush a little.

"Uh...yeah. I do. A lot."

Her cheeks heat up and she ducks her head, grinning like an idiot. "That... It may sound silly, and vain, but that means a lot," she explains, tucking a lock behind her ear. "My hair is kind of important to me..."

"It's not vain at all," he says, reaching up to play with the ends of her hair. "Why's it so important to you?"

"I don't know... Maybe because it was the one part of me my family never criticized?" she muses, smiling down at him. "They could pick at everything about me, but my hair was always perfect."

He grins softly at her, twirling the end of her hair. "Every part of you is perfect to me." He has to laugh at himself, knowing how Iris feels about the compliments.

Iris tuts, smacking his chest lightly as she blushes. "Knock that off right now," she admonishes him, shaking her head at his silliness.

Jason laughs as she hits him, catching her arm. "I knew you wouldn't like that."

She shakes her head, rolling her eyes in amusement. "So why did you say it, silly?"

"Because it's the truth. To me at least." He smiles, brushing her hair back. "And I like to rile you up."

Iris laughs, pressing a quick peck against his lips. She pulls back, resting her forehead against his, their noses bumping. "You're bad. Though, I suppose I can't complain, because every part of you is perfect to me too," she muses, blushing at the candidness of this conversation.

His smile gets a bit shy and he quickly kisses her nose. "We're such saps," he teases, pulling her down to kiss her.

"I blame you completely," she mumbles against his lips, reaching up to cup his face. All she can focus on right now is the ridiculously large ball of affection currently residing under her ribs. If it wouldn't embarrass them both to death, she'd gladly tell him for hours how much he means to her.

"I'm okay with that." It's almost unintelligible as he mumbles it into her lips. It's then that he realizes something and Jason sits up, more confused by himself than anything.

"I...uh..." He stares at Iris like it's the first time he's really seen her, suddenly feeling nervous around her.

He sits up suddenly, forcing her to move upright as well. And he's staring at her and suddenly her stomach is in knots again because she has no idea what happened.

"Are- Are you okay?" she asks, frowning with concern. "What's wrong?"
