 Jason had promised to take Iris out on a date one day. And now that everything seemed to be getting back to normal in town, they agreed that tonight would be the night. With a half day of work put in at the shop, Jason headed back to the apartment for a shower and a change of clothes when he saw his reflection in the mirror and realized just how much he'd let himself go. So with Alfredo by his side, he made his way to a hair shop nearby. The ladies there were very nice and trimmed his hair and beard a bit. They even asked permission to style his hair differently, and figuring, hell, he should look a little put together, he agreed. 

He left the salon feeling like a new man and, very painstakingly, sent Iris a text to let her know that he'd meet her at the apartment. After running one more errand, he heads back to their home.

He kisses past her stomach, nuzzling her skin gently. All he wants right now is to touch Iris and enjoy every part of her. Moving his fingers into her, he leans down to kiss the inside of her thigh.

Her reaction is encouraging and draws a smile from Jason. He moves a hand to rub her gently as he runs his tongue over her, paying close attention to what Iris seems to like.

The way Iris swears and calls his name drives him insane. He keeps up the movements for a little longer before kissing his way back up her body until he reaches her lips, deepening the kiss with need. It takes a brief moment of clarity for Jason to remember the condom before he pushes into her, rocking his hips against hers.

She slides her arms around his neck, her moan muffled in his lips as she kisses back eagerly. Iris tangles her fingers in his hair and pushes back against him, desperately seeking release.

His hand rests on her hip as they move and Jason can feel that sensation of need grow. Burying his face into the crook of her neck, Jason swears under his breath as he reaches his peak.

Iris feels the shudder of pleasure roll through her as she hits her peak, hands clenching in his hair as her body tenses. Letting out a moan, she clings to Jason as she rides it out, breathing hard as she slowly comes down from the high of it all.

Gently kissing the crook of her neck, Jason slows down as they both start to relax. After a few moments, his heart rate starts to normalize and Jason rolls off of Iris, smiling to himself. "You're amazing," he says, leaning over to kiss her.

Iris grins into the kiss, rolling onto her side to cuddle against him. "You're more than amazing," she chuckles, playing with his hair. "I love you so much..."

He hums happily into her lips, wrapping an arm around Iris' shoulders. "I love you too." He looks at Iris with nothing but love and leans into her hand. "I really should thank Eli more often for introducing us."

"Mmm... Me too," she grins, leaning in to bump her forehead against his, worming closer to him and tugging the blankets over them. "I'll buy him lunch at work tomorrow, I think."

"And maybe I'll build him something for the garden as thanks." Jason scoots down into the covers and wraps his arms around Iris. "Date night was a good idea. We should do it again."

"You know what that garden needs? A nice, romantic gazebo. With enough space for a table to be set up for dates," she grins, enjoying the warmth of his body. "Then we can do a date night there, maybe..."

"Hmm...that's not a bad idea." He plays with the ends of her hair, thinking over how much time and work one would take before he chuckles. "You first fed me there."

Iris practically melts at the feeling of his fingers gently tugging at her hair. "Mmmm, I did. Who would've guessed we'd end up falling in love and moving in together within the next couple months?"

"Life's really changed for us." He keeps fiddling with her hair almost absently. "I mean, your cooking is still amazing."

Iris slowly sinks deeper and deeper into a state of bliss, letting out a soft little sigh. "Well, that's good. But its all changed for the positive, right? You're happy here? ...With me?"

"Yeah," he says lazily, moving his arm to look at her. "I'm happier than I've ever been before. Promise."

"Good," she sighs, twining her fingers through his and pressing a kiss to the back of his hand. "I hope you get happier and happier and that I can be a source of happiness for you. I love you so much, you know."

"I know, baby." He smiles softly at her and leans over to kiss her dimple. "I love you too. And I hope I can just help you feel happy and safe. That's all I want."

She blushes happily at that, burrowing as close to him as she can. "Nothing in this world makes me feel safer than being around you," Iris tells him. "I feel like I can handle anything as long as I've got you with me."

"Good. I'm glad to hear that." Jason nuzzles the top of her head, enjoying how perfectly she curls up against him. "I can't imagine life without you now, Iris."
