You got that James Dean day dream look in your eye {Iris}

 Jason had promised to take Iris out on a date one day. And now that everything seemed to be getting back to normal in town, they agreed that tonight would be the night. With a half day of work put in at the shop, Jason headed back to the apartment for a shower and a change of clothes when he saw his reflection in the mirror and realized just how much he'd let himself go. So with Alfredo by his side, he made his way to a hair shop nearby. The ladies there were very nice and trimmed his hair and beard a bit. They even asked permission to style his hair differently, and figuring, hell, he should look a little put together, he agreed. 

He left the salon feeling like a new man and, very painstakingly, sent Iris a text to let her know that he'd meet her at the apartment. After running one more errand, he heads back to their home.

"Nnnnaawww, I bet you say that to all the guys." Jason stretches out on the bed before curling his body around Iris.

"Nope. Only the ones I love," Iris laughs, snuggling into the space he's made.

"Well now I just feel special," he grins, leaning over to kiss her nose.

"You're soooo special," she coos, scrunching up her nose in response. "The most special person ever, didn't you know?"

Jason laughs, pulling away from her. "Okay, now I feel like you're just patronizing me."

"Whaaat? I would never," she giggles, reaching over to scratch under his chin. "You are the most special! I promise!"

[jasonwright]

"You're totally not convincing right now, I hope you know that," Jason grins. He lifts his chin and closes his eyes, enjoying the scratches.

"Awww.... I don't know why not," Iris laughs, leaning in and kissing his lips lightly as her fingers brush through his beard. "It's definitely true, okay."

He'd purr right now if he could."Okay, I'm just going to say you actually mean it and I'm the best person in the world to you." He grins, leaning into her hands.

Iris laughs, finally dropping her hands to his chest and bracing herself against him. "I'm kidding. You are most definitely the best person in the world to me," she grins back, snuggling against him.

Jason beams up at her. "Good. I did take you on a pretty awesome date today after all," he teases.

[littleredsiren]

"You did! The most awesome date ever with the most awesome ending ever," she chirps, grinning broadly. "I can't wait to start guitar lessons. You're going to get sooo annoyed with my constant strumming though."

"Have you forgotten where I used to live?" he chuckles, brushing a lock of her hair behind her ear. "I've run into plenty of musicians in my time. You won't annoy me one bit."

"They probably actually knew how to play though," she points out with a grin, leaning into his touch. "Probably weren't strumming the same two chords over and over again for an hour, trying to get their fingering down."

"Still won't bug me," he promises with an admiring smile. "Besides, I'll be helping Davin a bit more at the garage. You'll have some practice time before I get home."

Iris pouts at that, rolling back onto the mattress. "I should be glad I have more practice time but... That means you won't be home as much," she sulks.

He looks at her pout and crawls over Iris, giving her an extra cute look. "I'm sorry, baby. Davin's finally getting rid of those assholes. It's just temporary til he replaces them."

She sighs, pouting harder. "I know... But I'm sad about it anyway. I don't begrudge Davin your help, I just hate missing out on time with you," Iris huffs, knowing she sounds childish but ignoring it.

It still amazes Jason that someone wants to spend as much time with him as Iris obviously does. Truth be told, he'd much rather spend as much time with her as possible. "I know, love. I hate it too. We'll just make the most of our nights until it slows down."

Reaching up, Iris cups his face and sticks her tongue out at him. "Fine. But if Davin keeps you too long I reserve the right to call girlfriend privileges and keep you home for a day."

Jason smiles teasingly. "You promise? Girlfriend privileges always come first. I gotta make sure you're happy'."

"Pinky promise," she grins, holding her finger out for him. "I'll even invoke special siren girlfriend privileges if I need to."

Jason hooks his pinky around Iris' with a grin. "Special siren girlfriend privileges?"

Iris' grin quickly turns predatory and she leans up, bumping noses with him. "Yes. Special siren girlfriend privileges," she chuckles, wiggling her eyebrows at him.

[jasonwright]

His smile changes to one of understanding and Jason bites his lip. "That's also a priority over work."
