Wright Reunion [Pre-dated to Dec. 1st/Iris]

They've spent the whole morning cleaning the apartment and getting everything ready because today's a pretty special day for both Jason and Iris. His brother John is coming to visit again. And this time, he's bringing his wife and Jason's baby nephew. To say they're both nervous is a massive understatement. Jason's spent the past few days running errands for Iris, picking up food, ingredients, and baby supplies while Iris has worked on baby-proofing the whole apartment, something that's thrown Alfredo and Eric into a tizzy. It's been a bit of a chaos but more of an excited one. Jason can't wait to meet his namesake and he definitely can't wait to meet the woman crazy enough to marry his little brother.

After another round at the grocery store, Jason heads back to the apartment, lugging a ridiculous amount of bags with him as Alfredo jogs happily by his side. He took the dog this time, mostly to get him out of Iris' hair for a few, but also because he wanted to work out some of Alfredo's energy before a baby turns his would upside down. Racing Alfredo up the stairs of the complex, Jason balances the bags on one arm and lets himself into their home, closing the door behind him as Alfredo pants and makes his way to the water bowl.

"I'm back," he says by way of greeting as he carries the bags into the kitchen. There's no telling where Iris has gotten to or what project she's taken up in preparation for the visit.

"You're so sweet to me," he laughs. "Have you started practicing yet?"

"Yup! I went and met the instructor too. My first lesson is Monday," she smiles. "I'm ridiculously excited about it right now."

[jasonwright]

"Good. I'm glad you'll get started soon. You'll pick it up in no time." Jason bites his lip. "I wanna hear you sing though."

Iris blinks, startled. "Now? Or with the guitar?" she asks, taken aback by the request.

[jasonwright]

Jason grins, touching his chin like he's thinking before he nods. "I want it now."

[littleredsiren]

She can feel her cheeks heat up as a sudden wave of shyness hits her. "All right... Anything specific or just my choice?" she asks, resting her cheek against his chest as she looks up at him.

[jasonwright]

Her cheeks flush and Jason gives her a loving smile, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. "Your choice. Whatever you'll sing me."

"All right..." Iris sits up, worrying her lip between her teeth as she picks out a song. Settling on something she'd heard on the radio earlier she starts in on the song, letting herself focus on a point on the ceiling instead of looking at Jason. Its easier if she feels like she's just singing to sing, instead of performing for him.

Jason watches Iris sing with awe. He feels like he's falling in love with her all over again. The song is amazing, but Iris' voice is what wins him over. "Wow." Jason sits up and pulls Iris down to kiss her.

She lets out a tiny squeak of surprise when he tugs her down but quickly settles into the kiss, sliding her arms around his neck. "You liked it, I guess?"

"I loved it." He kisses her again before pulling back. "You're really good."

[littleredsiren]

"Stop that," she scolds, blushing as she shakes her head. "You're gonna make me burst into flames soon."

[jasonwright]

"You are though." He kisses her cheek before tugging her back down to lay with him. "I really like when you sing. Okay, I'm done complimenting now."

[littleredsiren]

Iris snuggles against him with a sigh, shaking her head. "You are so bad," she mumbles, pressing a kiss against his shoulder. "I can sing for you more often, if you want..."

[jasonwright]

"I'd like that." He tugs the covers up over them, rolling so he and Iris are on the sides. "And you can sing for Keaton tomorrow," he smiles.

[littleredsiren]

"Mmmm... I'd like that," she smiles, tucking herself under his chin and letting herself relax as she slowly dozes off.

Jason follows soon after Iris, rolling onto his stomach as he falls asleep.

The next morning, he wakes up about as late as someone accustomed to 3am alarms can: 6am. He stays in bed for awhile, wrapped around Iris as she sleeps before he rolls out of bed and grabs a shower.

Iris rolls over into the warm indent in the mattress left by his body, curling into a ball with a soft grumble. Still mostly asleep, she grabs his pillow and nuzzles it, drifting in and out of sleep while she waits for him to get out.

Jason walks back into the room, toweling himself off before he climbs over Iris. Nuzzling her neck, he shakes his wet hair at her. "Wakey wakey!"

She lets out a groan, pulling the blankets over her head to shield herself from the splashes of water. "No... Its too early for wakey wakey. Sleepy sleepy," Iris protests, burying her face in her pillow.

[jasonwright]

"But I can't sleepy sleepy," he complains. Jason rolls off her, inching to press against her side. "Plus, if I let you sleep any more, you'll be mad later when you feel like you didn't have enough time to prepare for Keaton."

[littleredsiren]

She reaches out blindly, tugging herself against his chest and nuzzling into it. "But its so waaaarm here..."

[jasonwright]

He really shouldn't, but Jason wraps his arms around her, his skin still warm from the shower. "It can be warm out there too."

[littleredsiren]

"Mmmm... Nooo. I'm pretty sure its cold out there. Its always cold in the morning," Iris complains, arms slipping around his waist. "Plus you can't cuddle me out there."

[jasonwright]

"I can cuddle you anywhere and everywhere," he argues. Jason presses several kisses along her jaw. "I'll make you chocolate chip pancakes."
