Wright Reunion [Pre-dated to Dec. 1st/Iris]

They've spent the whole morning cleaning the apartment and getting everything ready because today's a pretty special day for both Jason and Iris. His brother John is coming to visit again. And this time, he's bringing his wife and Jason's baby nephew. To say they're both nervous is a massive understatement. Jason's spent the past few days running errands for Iris, picking up food, ingredients, and baby supplies while Iris has worked on baby-proofing the whole apartment, something that's thrown Alfredo and Eric into a tizzy. It's been a bit of a chaos but more of an excited one. Jason can't wait to meet his namesake and he definitely can't wait to meet the woman crazy enough to marry his little brother.

After another round at the grocery store, Jason heads back to the apartment, lugging a ridiculous amount of bags with him as Alfredo jogs happily by his side. He took the dog this time, mostly to get him out of Iris' hair for a few, but also because he wanted to work out some of Alfredo's energy before a baby turns his would upside down. Racing Alfredo up the stairs of the complex, Jason balances the bags on one arm and lets himself into their home, closing the door behind him as Alfredo pants and makes his way to the water bowl.

"I'm back," he says by way of greeting as he carries the bags into the kitchen. There's no telling where Iris has gotten to or what project she's taken up in preparation for the visit.

"Of course," she smiles, scooping a bit of lasanga into a bowl for Keaton. "Your brother and Felicity are amazing, and Keaton is adorable! Plus, you know I love feeding people. Between you and John I'll be happy for a month."

"Feeding me isn't enough for you anymore," he teases. "Did you still wanna suggest keeping Keaton for them? I overheard you and Felicity talking about the lodge. I mean, I think we can handle him, if you're still comfortable with it."

Iris turns, gaping at him like he's insane. "Yes! Of course! I am dying to spend more time with that little bundle of precious," she laughs. "I'll take him for as long as they want, as long as you're okay with it too."

Jason beams at her. "I'll go talk to John then." He points at the bowl of lasagna. "You might wanna practice with him while I do the negotiations though."

Grinning back, Iris kisses his cheek. "Good luck!" she chirps, skipping back out of the kitchen and heading back to Felicity and Keaton. "All right! One bowl of lasagna for the littlest Wright. I cut it into little bite sized pieces, just in case."

Jason pulls John away from the table for a chat while Felicity tries to keep Keaton from climbing up on the table. "Oh perfect!" she smiles, taking the bowl. Once he sees it, Keaton makes grabby hands for it. Felicity nudges the bowl toward him and he immediately shoves his hands into the lasagna, intrigued by it's texture.

"He does this every time," she explains. "Messy eater just like his dad, aren't you, baby?" Keaton looks up at the two women and lets out a little giggle, looking like he knows they're talking about him.

Laughing, Iris watches Keaton shove a handful of the lasagna into his mouth, smearing the beef and sauce all over his cheeks. "You know, surprisingly? He's a neater eater than my cousin was at that age. She used to smear her food everywhere, just because she thought it was funny," she chuckles. "Cleaning up after her was such a pain, but she was so cute when she did it I couldn't say mad."

"Awww, cute," she grins. "Keaton makes a mess but he's a true Wright. Won't let food go to waste."

John and Jason come back into the kitchen, John especially looking happy. He leans over Felicity's shoulder to kiss Keaton's cheek. "Hey, Jason and Iris have offered to look after this guy so we can have some alone time."

"Really?" Felicity glances up at Iris. "You don't mind?"

"Of course not!" she chirps, smiling at the couple and wiping a bit of pasta sauce from Keaton's face. "I could never mind spending more time with Keaton. He's adorable, you know?"

"We could check out that lodge I was telling you about on the plane!" Felicity smiles up at John.

"We can definitely do that. Any day that works best for you two?"

Jason smiles to himself as Iris takes care of Keaton. "Well, I'm off work for the week anyway."

"Any day is good for me, really," Iris smiles, gently booping Keaton's nose. "I'm in between teachers to work under at the school so I'm free whenever you want to go!"

"Tomorrow?" Felicity asks, looking at John eagerly.

"If we can get a room tomorrow evening, we can spend the night and the day at the Lodge. Then we can grab Keaton from you on the way back the next night. I mean...if you two are comfortable keeping him over night."

Jason shrugs, looking to Iris, "I think we can take care of him, don't you?"

Her grin broadens and Iris nods eagerly. "Of course! We've got the little cot for him and everything," she says, practically glowing with excitement. "We'll be fine with him. You two just enjoy yourselves."

Felicity gets up from the table, tucking Keaton safely away on her hip. "Perfect! We'll call in the morning and get everything set up. After Keaton has his lunchtime nap, we'll bring all his stuff over."

The visit lasts for about another hour before Keaton gets fussy and Felicity and John decide to head back to their hotel. Everyone hugs, says their thanks and goodbyes with a promise to drop Keaton off the next day, and then they're out the door. Jason locks up, turning to Iris with a sleepy grin.

"I'm so tired. I forgot how exhausting it is to have people over."

Iris reaches out, grabbing his hands and tugging him closer so she can hug him. "Sounds like you need bed, hm?" she chuckles, kissing the tip of his nose. "You go get ready and I'll do the dishes before I meet you in there, okay?"

Jason smiles down at her, enjoying the hug and how even after everything tonight, Iris still wants to take care of others. He starts to protest but then yawns. "Okay. Don't take too long, alright?" Reaching around, he pats her butt with a teasing grin before he heads into the bedroom.

Iris squeaks, jumping slightly at the pat, shaking her head at him as he wanders off. Quickly filling the dishwasher, she packs up the leftovers for his lunch and washes the bigger dishes as fast as she can. Giving everything a quick wipe down, she finishes up and heads into the bedroom, taking her hair out of her bun as she goes.

"Honey? You asleep?"

Jason's already changed into his pajamas and stretched out in bed, waiting for Iris. He can sleep almost anywhere, but since moving in, he can't fall asleep at night until she's in bed with him. Rolling over on his side to glance at her, he smiles. "Nope. Just bugging Alfredo."

"Tsk. That poor puppy," she chuckles, quickly stripping down to her underwear and slipping in to the bed with him. Cuddling up under the covers, Iris presses a little kiss to his shoulder. "Its a good thing he loves you so much. Otherwise he might decide you're too much of a pain to deal with."

Jason laughs, still hanging an arm over the bed to pet Alfredo. "Where would he go? He's got it made here, he'll put up with me."

"He'll come to my side of the bed. Where the nice people who pet him and don't torture him are," Iris teases, rolling onto her stomach and propping her chin on her arms. "He'd get so much love and no more meanie pants Jason."

Jason frowns, making a face at her as he tucks a hand under Alfredo's collar. "Don't listen to her. We've been together longer, buddy. I've seen you through thick and thin!" He looks back at Iris and shakes his head. "Low. Trying to take my dog."

Iris pouts up at him, looking put out. "Well. I was just helping him out," she protests, playfully, rolling over onto her own side of the bed. "See if I try to do you two a favour ever again!"

Jason releases Alfredo who quickly rushes out the room to his bed, not even caring that the two are even playing over him. Scooting across the bed, Jason snakes his arms around Iris' waist. "Nooo, help me all the time."

Iris squeaks, trying to squirm away with barely contained laughter. "Nope! You said I'm low. Low people don't help!" she protests.
