Wright Reunion [Pre-dated to Dec. 1st/Iris]
They've spent the whole morning cleaning the apartment and getting everything ready because today's a pretty special day for both Jason and Iris. His brother John is coming to visit again. And this time, he's bringing his wife and Jason's baby nephew. To say they're both nervous is a massive understatement. Jason's spent the past few days running errands for Iris, picking up food, ingredients, and baby supplies while Iris has worked on baby-proofing the whole apartment, something that's thrown Alfredo and Eric into a tizzy. It's been a bit of a chaos but more of an excited one. Jason can't wait to meet his namesake and he definitely can't wait to meet the woman crazy enough to marry his little brother.
After another round at the grocery store, Jason heads back to the apartment, lugging a ridiculous amount of bags with him as Alfredo jogs happily by his side. He took the dog this time, mostly to get him out of Iris' hair for a few, but also because he wanted to work out some of Alfredo's energy before a baby turns his would upside down. Racing Alfredo up the stairs of the complex, Jason balances the bags on one arm and lets himself into their home, closing the door behind him as Alfredo pants and makes his way to the water bowl.
"I'm back," he says by way of greeting as he carries the bags into the kitchen. There's no telling where Iris has gotten to or what project she's taken up in preparation for the visit.

"It really is. It's pretty perfect for us, I think. Close enough to the ocean for both our needs, nice weather, a good community, and everything is so lush and pretty," she sighs, taking her seat.

John rolls his eyes. "You're biased. I mean, understandably. But Alaska's gorgeous."
"And stupidly cold." Felicity shakes her head. "It kind of makes running a landscaping business difficult." She eats a forkful of lasagna and smiles, complimenting Iris on it. "So you like Keaton?" she asks with a sparkle in her eye, clearly switching subjects.

"It's difficult, that's for sure. But I love it. I got really lucky with this one." Felicity reaches over to lovingly touch John's hair, who's currently completely absorbed with dinner. "I see they both love food."

Iris glances over at Jason as he shovels food into his mouth, giving him a fond smile. "That's a familial trait, huh?" she giggles. "There are never leftovers here, not when Jason's home."
no subject
"I think he can actually out-eat John," she laughs, studying them both. The boys are completely unaware they're even being talked about. "Is he still working on the boats? I used to work at a bar and grill near the coast. Got a lot of fishermen and they would almost eat us out of business when the seasons started."

Jason feels Iris' hand on his knee and looks up, only now realizing the two were discussing him. "What's going on?"
"I was just about to ask Iris when you two are going to get married." Felicity beams and John sits up immediately with a groan.
"Oh my god, Issy, I told you not to ask that."

Felicity tilts her head, stirring her lasagna up rather nonchalantly. "I mean, you want to marry each other, right?"
John groans even louder, throwing his head against the back of his chair. "She's horrible. Don't talk to her. She's absolutely awful and I'm divorcing her right now."

"Of course I do. I'd be an idiot if I didn't want to marry her," he says. "We're just enjoying what we have right now though."
no subject
Iris shakes her head, hiding her face in her hands. "I'm an idiot?" she finally laughs, looking up at him with a stupid grin.

Jason leans over and kisses her, bumping his nose with hers. He hoped he'd be lucky enough to one day marry Iris and now she's telling him she wants the same. "I want everything, the whole nine yards with you," he smiles. "Whatever you'll share with me."
no subject
She's forgotten that the others are even in the room with them right now. The knowledge that Jason would want to marry her, to be hers until death and all of that, is overwhelming in the most wondrous way possible.
no subject
"Aww. Okay, I won't divorce you." Jason turns and laughs when he sees John and Felicity, the pair smiling happily at the unplanned romantic dinner entertainment.

"So, ah... How have things been for you guys lately?" she stammers out, trying to detract from her own embarrassment.
no subject
"Busy, actually," he answers, still grinning at his brother and Iris. "Had to get the business ready for closing for the season which is always a pain. I'm sorry, I gotta say it. I knew you two would end up together when I met you."

Jason tilts his head a bit in agreement because, yeah, that's true. He used to get in trouble for his anger before he learned to control it. And Iris helped a lot that day. She mediated between the boys, but also calmed Jason down. "We were just friends then," he argues. "She's a very caring person with her friends."
"Okay, maybe I didn't know you'd start dating. But I hoped."

Felicity and John agree to pie as well before Felicity gets up from her chair when she hears Keaton stir.

Setting it down, she slices into the pie, doling out large portions for the boys and slightly smaller ones for Felicity and herself. "Dig in!"
